OVERVIEW
Angela Ruegger has been running her own conservation studio The Conservation Workshop since 2007. She graduated with a M.A. in the Conservation of Cultural Materials (Paintings) from the University of Melbourne in 2005 and subsequently worked in conservation departments in New Zealand and overseas. During her formative years as a conservator, she was awarded internship opportunities at the MHK Kassel, Germany and the Marylin Mayo Internship at the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki. These internships were followed by several private contracts with the same institutions, ensuring strong personal and professional connections to the present day. In private practice Angela has looked after institutional and private collections throughout New Zealand.
She is a long-standing full member of the NZCCM, current Auckland NZCCM representative and founding member of AICS-NZ (The Association of Independent Conservation Specialists).
There have been several instances of collaboration with conservation professionals of other specialisations as this ensures the best course of treatment.
